A Transnational Memorial from Berlin to Singapore

Like the "comfort women" Statues of Peace and its replicas that have a transnational reach, what other memorials have this similar trait? The answer can be found in the National University of Singapore (NUS).

On 18 October 2016, two panels of the Berlin Wall were unveiled at NUS. These two panels are a gift from Germany to commemorate 50 years of bilateral diplomatic relations.

The Berlin Wall had separated East and West Berlin for almost three decades, until it was dismantled in November 1989. Since then, parts of the wall have been sold or distributed across the world.

Each segment of the Berlin Wall weighs approximately four tonnes, stands at 3.6 metres tall, measures 1.2 metres across and 27 centimetres in thickness.

This would be an interesting comparison with the "comfort women" Statue of Peace and its replicas.
